Another round of gift cards and candles isn't exactly exciting; not for you to shop for, and not for your teacher to unwrap. If you're looking for teacher gift ideas in Plano, TX that feel a little more thoughtful, here's where to start.
A personalized trinket dish
A small trinket dish doubles as a catch-all for rings, paperclips, or whatever ends up on a desk and personalizing it with a name or initial turns a simple gift into one that actually feels chosen for her.
A keepsake tray for the classroom desk
A handmade tray gives a teacher somewhere to corral the small stuff on a busy desk, and it looks a lot nicer doing it than a plastic organizer. It's useful enough to actually get used, which is really all a good gift needs to do.
A set for the whole grade-level team
Shopping for more than one teacher? A matching set of handmade pieces makes it easy to gift the whole team without starting from scratch for each person, while still keeping each one personalized.
Why handmade beats another gift card
A gift card gets used once and forgotten. A handmade, personalized piece sits on a desk all year as a reminder that someone noticed the work that goes into teaching and it's the kind of gift a teacher is far more likely to actually keep.
