There are milestones in business that stop you in your tracks and remind you why you started. Being featured on WFAA ABC's Good Morning Texas was one of those moments for me.
I sat down with the Good Morning Texas team to share the story behind YFL Art & Home Decor — the real one. Not just the pretty ring dishes and the floral jewelry boxes, but where this all came from. The healing. The hard seasons. The decision to turn creativity into something bigger than myself.

For those who are new here — hi, I'm Yolanda. I'm an artist, an entrepreneur, and a mom of three. I've been doing this for 10 years, and every single piece I make is still handcrafted by hand, right here in my Plano, TX studio.
YFL wasn't born from a business plan. It was born from a season of depression, chronic illness, and fertility struggles that pushed me back to the one thing that always made me feel like myself — creating. Art became my healing, and from that healing, a brand was born.
On the show, I shared some of my newest pieces, including the handcrafted ring dishes, jewelry boxes, and home décor that have become customer favorites — pieces made to be gifted with meaning, not just placed on a shelf.
What this moment means.
Being on WFAA wasn't just exciting — it was affirming. It's a reminder that small businesses matter, that handmade things carry a story that mass production simply can't replicate, and that showing up authentically, even when it's vulnerable, connects people in the most beautiful ways.
